Why Check-in Calls?

Life is short.  The ties that bind are strong.  If you are a Caregiver doing all you can for your loved ones, maybe we can help lighten your load a bit.

The idea of Check-In Calls came to me as an answer to the tug at my heartstring after my Dad (pictured) and my husband's Dad passed on in quick succession leaving our Moms widowed.  Both wonderful women needed and wanted more attention than we could provide. Working full time, commuting, and raising our girls left little time for regular chats with them.  Although we called as often as possible, we sensed their loneliness and wished that someone else could check in on them too.  And, so, the idea of Check-In Calls was born.

Now that both of our Moms have passed on, my heart aches when I think back that more social interaction would have lessened their loneliness, enhanced the quality of their lives, and possibly even increased their longevity.

My hope is that Check-In Calls provides extra reassurance and spreads a little sunshine.
